TIPS FOR PERMANENT BROWS
The final results of permanent makeup are dependent on
the client’s skin type, how well the client prepares their skin prior
to having the procedure, and the after-care the client commits to.
Below are some tips to help achieve the sweetest results possible.
SKIN PREPARATION TIPS
1 month PRIOR
Discontinue any use of any facial products containing Vitamin A,
Retinol, Retin-A, Glycolic Acids, AHA acids.
Discontinue any injectables (botox, etc.).
Discontinue electrolysis (laser hair removal).
Discontinue chemical peels.

2 weeks PRIOR
Stop sunbed and/or sun tanning
No sunburns
No facials/microdermabrasion.
1 week PRIOR
No picking, tweezing, waxing, tinting, or electrolysis.
No supplements with fish oil or vitamin E (natural blood thinner).
3 DAYS BEFORE
No alcohol.
No blood thinners such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen .

DAY OF APPOINTMENT
No caffeine (coffee, soda, energy drinks, etc.) the day of the procedure.
No working out the day of the procedure.
Please come to your appointment with your brows filled-in however you normally do them.

CONTRADICTIONS
For permanent makeup clients only
Certain medical conditions and/or medications may interfere with the your ability to have this procedure. It is your responsibility to ensure you are able to have this procedure done. If you show up to the appointment and we are unable to perform the service due to your oversight, the appointment will be cancelled on the spot and you will lose any deposit paid. Below is a list of some of the contraindications that will affect eligibility. If you have other health complications or diseases not listed above, please consult your doctor to see if permanent makeup is a safe procedure for you.
DO NOT BOOK IF YOU:

Have ANY sort of contagious/infectious condition or disorder.

Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding

Are Diabetic (must bring doctor's clearance for permanent makeup dated within 30 days prior to your appointment)

Have Hepatitis

Have HIV/AIDS

Have Cancer (must be in remission for at least 12 months)

Have Epilepsy

Have any autoimmune disorders

Have any circulatory disorders

Have any bleeding disorders

Have any viral infections and/or diseases

Pacemaker or major heart problems

Are on any blood thinning medications/substances

Have open wounds, skin irritations near the service area

Are taking Accutane or other strong retinoids (must wait until 6 months after treatment ends)

Have had recent laser facials, chemical/acid peels, Botox or other injectables near service area (must wait 1 month)

Have had recent surgery (including cosmetic) near the service area (must wait 2 months)

Are sunburned on or near the service area
-
Have a history of herpes/cold sores near the service area

Have warts near service area
-
Have Collagen Vascular Disease
-
Have Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Rosacea near the service area.

Are prone to Keloid/hypertrophic scarring

Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system/healing.
STUDIO POLICIES
No guests, children or animals allowed in the studio. This is to prevent any distractions and cross-contamination. Please be respectful and understand that your beauty technician must focus on the procedure to provide you with the best quality service.

A non-refundable deposit/payment is required for all appointments and will be applied toward your service total. Your remaining balance is due at the time of your service. CASH or ZELLE is preferred.
All deposits and payments made to Brown Sugar Brows & Beauty are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions.
Reschedules must be made via text or email only, at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time.
Appointments can be rescheduled ONCE, after which your appointment will be canceled and a new deposit will be required to reschedule.
There is a 10 minute grace period for appointments.
